WE CAN FEEL DIFFERENT TO HOW WE FEEL NOW
This squashing of our own naturally instinctive way of thinking turns our natural senses or feelings into a fear, fear of being ourselves. (The sense has become an emotion, fear).
“I am frightened of being me” actually means “I am frightened of trusting my own thoughts and ideas” and is often based upon what others have said, or ignored, about us. This can turn into “I hate my life, I hate being me, I hate myself.” The most destructive aspect of all this is that the repetitive, habitual way of thinking about ourselves is so ingrained in us that we fail to see how we can ever be any different. People often say that this is just how they are and there’s no point thinking they can be any other way.
We certainly can’t be a different human being with a different life. We have to live our own life.
But we can change to ‘be’ and to feel differently within our own life by making changes to the way we process our thoughts and how we react to everything we see happening in our life. We learned how to be as we are now and we can learn how to be different from this point on.
Usually we have to acknowledge certain things about ourselves before we can move on.
